| Nuby Teething Keys / Crab Rattle / Baby Brezza State Rattle /Monkey Stroller Toy |
These little teething keys have been a life-saver the past couple weeks!! Our little guy has popped 2 teeth and he puts E-VER-Y-THING in his mouth!!! He loves these so much. The fact that they kind of rattle together but are also gummy enough to chew and soothe those teeth are amazing!! They're easy for him to grab (and throw) and I seriously cannot say enough about them!!
How cute is that little crab rattle?! This was a complete impulse purchase at Target (85% of my purchases there may be impulse - am I alone in that?!). We were walking by the toys and my husband left me for a second to go look at something, Jackson looked up and LIT UP when he saw this little crab so I literally couldn't resist getting it!! He loves this thing!! Every time he sees it he shrieks in excitement and can't get to it fast enough. Seriously the cutest thing in the world!
The Baby Brezza has been a game changer for us!! I started out nursing Jackson, but around 4 months my supply was gone - practically overnight. So we had to switch to formula. While mixing formula really isn't the hardest thing, it definitely is inconvenient! I was visiting a friend (Hey, Jen!) and she had this just hanging out in her garage! She gave it to me and I am SO happy she did! I'm not sure I would have gotten one otherwise (because $$$). After using this, however, I can say I would buy this full-price as it truly is amazing! It mixes the formula for you (and at the perfect temperature) so you have a bottle ready to feed in seconds. Um, no more heating bottles or shaking them and hoping you've gotten all the clumps out? Sign. Me. Up!!!
The Texas State rattle was a random find. I got it for a steal from Bannor Toys on Black Friday, but Jackson didn't really take a huge liking to it until those teeth came in. He likes to shake it around since it has a rattle component on the inside, but it's made of really smooth wood that makes it perfect for him to chew on! They are completely customizable! All the states are available, you can have a name (or message, or birth stats...) engraved, and you choose the colors to make up the rattle! Not to mention, the purchase supports an amazing small business! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner at the Spring at the Silos event down at Magnolia (any Chip & Jo/Fixer Upper fans out there?) and she was the nicest person! I love supporting small businesses when I can - and with super high quality (and super cute) products like this, it makes it really easy! Take a look at my little guy's personalized rattle.

Bright Starts has this adorable monkey stroller toy that we hang on Jackson's car seat. We don't use it any other time just to make sure we always have it when we're in the car. He has gotten to the point where he knows when he pulls the green part, it plays a little song. I am not normally a fan of toys that make noise, but this one is a short son and pretty quiet when it comes to baby toys so I really don't mind (plus I usually have my music on in my car and end up not hearing it at all).

| Jackson is 7 Months Old!!! |
How in the world has it been 7 months already?
He is more mobile than ever! Rolling all over the place, trying to crawl, talking up a storm, laughing... I love this little guy so much!!
A lot has happened this past month!! A couple 'highlights' have been recognizing familiar (and unfamiliar) faces, REALLY making the effort to crawl (planks with great form), has TWO teeth popping out (first one on 3.25 and the second a couple days after), and his first 'illness'/real doctor visit for pink eye.
He woke up from his morning nap yesterday with a ton of gunk in his eye and the eyelid looked a little swollen. By the time we got to our doctor's appointment 3 hours later, it was red and puffy and he could barely open his eye. He got crabbier as the day went on and his eye got worse and worse. I'm thankful he slept through the night as the same stuff that causes pink eye also can cause ear infections. With the close proximity that the eyes and ears have (and my chronic ear infections as a baby), this really worried me! The picture above was taken this evening right before the 3rd eye drop application and it has cleared up SO much since he went down last night (you can't even tell there's an infection there)!!
His personality is developing more and more every day. He loves watching our cats and dogs prance and play around the house, and they are SO tolerable of him!! I love watching them interact since it's pure exploration and he is developing quite the curiosity (especially when it comes to the cat's tail)!! I cannot wait to see what the next few months hold!
